Quintessential Design Service Limited (QDSL) is seeking an AI CAE Engineer to join their team in a permanent or contract capacity, with flexible options for onsite work in the West Midlands, UK, or remote arrangements. This role focuses on developing and integrating AI and machine learning (ML) models into propulsion system CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) simulation workflows to enhance performance, accuracy, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AI/ML model development using Python and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and Keras, along with familiarity with simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink, GT-SUITE, AMESim, or similar. Responsibilities include optimizing simulation pipelines, reducing processing time, improving prediction accuracy, training ML models on large engineering datasets, and deploying scalable AI frameworks within CAE environments. A strong understanding of propulsion systems (EV, hybrid, ICE), feature engineering, co-simulation integration, and predictive analytics is required. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mechatronics, or a related field, with at least 4 years of combined experience in CAE and AI/ML application.
